Combustion models get style and technological upgrades, and the Cayenne GTS is returning.
It was only a question of time until Porsche focused on all-electric SUVs after the Taycan shown to the world what the automaker was capable of with electric vehicles. Deliveries of the 2025 Macan EV have started this year, demonstrating the success of such initiatives. Porsche is currently developing one or more of its next all-electric family haulers.
The Cayenne GTS variant is also making a comeback this year. The brand’s non-electric crossovers will also get style and technology enhancements. Here is what to anticipate from Porsche SUVs in 2025.
The New 2025 Porsche Macan
Porsche hasn’t forgotten about the combustion model, even if its SUV focus this year is on the new Macan EV. Like other Porsches, the gas-powered version of its upscale small SUV makes a comeback this year with new exterior paint categories. These days, colors are available in Dreams, Legends, Contrasts, and Shades. The only major modification is that other 2025 trim levels no longer include the Macan GTS’s surface-coated brakes.

The New 2025 Porsche Macan EV
With the new Macan EV, Porsche enters the rapidly expanding market for compact luxury SUVs that are all-electric. Despite having a similar nomenclature as the gas vehicle, the new Macan variation has unique style and is built on the same platform as Audi’s A6 E-Tron and Q6 E-Tron electric cars. In addition, the Macan EV is somewhat longer than the regular Macan.
Both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD versions of Macan EVs are available. AWD variants range in power from the Macan 4’s 402 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque to the Macan Turbo’s 630 horsepower and 833 lb-ft. The only RWD type is the Macan Electric, which produces 514 ft-lb of torque and 355 horsepower. A 100-kWh battery pack powers all of them, allowing for an estimated 290 kilometers between charges. The battery can be charged at a maximum rate of 270 kW using its 800-volt electrical design, which can bring it from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 22 minutes.
The baby electric ute has amazing technology. A curved 12.6-inch driver screen, a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a front passenger screen of the same size are among the displays. Additionally, there is a head-up display with augmented reality capabilities that, when projected, measures 87 inches. Additionally available are Porsche App Center compatibility and active ambient lighting.

What’s New for the 2025 Porsche Cayenne
The Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe ranges will once again include twin-turbo V-8-powered GTS variants. Each powertrain component generates 493 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque. This year, these versions also gain unique external stylistic features, such as red brake calipers, darker headlights and taillights, and wider air intakes.
A 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and soft-close doors are among the updated standard features available across the series. The optional Premium Package Plus now includes HD-Matrix Design LED headlights as standard equipment. Lastly, enhanced interior air filtration is standard on all 2025 Cayenne models.

Porsche Cayenne EV
Porsche plans to launch the all-electric Cayenne luxury SUV in 2027, but gas-model enthusiasts shouldn’t worry too much. According to the manufacturer, a combustion type should remain available at least until 2030.
The Macan EV and the Cayenne EV will have the same architecture and may have comparable specifications. To be clear, this is not the same as the three-row ute that Porsche has been testing. The brand’s signature quad dot-matrix headlights and taillights with a redesigned grid layout and a wide transparent central element have been recognized from spy photographs on the Cayenne EV’s face. In addition to driving qualities unique to the brand, expect the new vehicles to have output north of 335 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, 300 miles of range on some versions, and a standard adjustable air suspension.
