Former President and current President-elect Donald Trump has reignited his interest in purchasing Greenland, the world’s largest island and a self-governing territory of Denmark. On Truth Social, Trump stated:
“For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.”
