Small Tweaks, Big Impact: What’s New in the 2025 Ford Bronco

Highlighting the modifications to Ford’s off-road icon are a new digital instrument cluster and rear seat vents.

First things first: the 2025 model year facelift for the Ford Bronco is not the same as the thorough mid-cycle revamp that the Bronco Sport sister got. Nevertheless, the upgrade has additional options for look, new tech features, and a trim-level shakeup.

After removing the 2024 model year, fans of the basic Bronco and its straightforward steel wheels will be happy to learn that it will return for 2025. Ford eliminated it in order to simplify things, but after hearing from the public, the carmaker restored it.

A standard 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster, which replaces the Bronco’s previous 8.0-inch cluster and analog instruments, is also new for 2025. The screen is identical to the one seen in the Bronco Raptor variant, but it will now be installed in all Broncos. Ford is making rear air vents standard on four-door Broncos, a feature that the company claims consumers have been demanding since the beginning. Additional interior ambient lighting and an acoustically enhanced windshield for a quieter cabin are two further quality-of-life enhancements.

However, Ford claims that the new 35-inch Goodyear Territory difficult terrain tires, which take the place of the Sasquatch model’s mud-terrain rubber, will quiet the cabin even more. (But if you want the M/T tires, you may still specify them.) Ford has upgraded its high-end B&O audio system from a 10-speaker configuration to a 12-speaker system if you wish to further reduce background noise. According to Ford, the use of a better subwoofer and a higher-output amplifier has improved the sound quality as well.

Ford has already shown the Stroppe Special Edition and Free Wheeling look package for 2025, but it’s also introducing a Black look pack that, surprisingly, paints different trim pieces and other parts black. Additionally, there is the matte clear film option (seen below), which Ford has previously made available for the Mustang. According to Ford, the factory-installed matte film may be fitted to any trim and any color, with the exception of the Raptor.

A significant shift in the 2025 trim lineup is the removal of Ford’s long-running Wildtrak variant and the addition of the Black Diamond trim as an add-on package for the Big Bend model. Because it uses the suspension and drivetrain of the Wildtrak trim, the Stroppe Special Edition essentially becomes the most similar vehicle available. With the exception of the Stroppe’s two-door configuration, the Wildtrak was offered with four doors.

Finally, Ford is changing the availability of the manual gearbox in addition to the 2-Door and 4-Door versions, even if it isn’t going away. For instance, the manual transmission has no access to the Outer Banks. The Big Bend and Heritage Editions, meanwhile, are now limited to four doors. Rest confident that Ford will continue to provide the manual option and 2-door Broncos notwithstanding these simplifications made in the name of complexity reduction.

As of November 7th, order banks for 2025 Broncos are formally open, with the first deliveries anticipated this winter.
