At 150 miles per hour, it produces 1,460 pounds of downforce and 900 horsepower. Crazy.
The UK-based engineering firm RML Group is well-known for its earlier designs, which include the street-legal Aston Martin Vulcan and the Nissan Juke-R. Based on the 992.1-generation 911 Turbo S, the shop’s most recent build, the P39 40th Special Edition, is an amazing performance vehicle.
The P39 40SE sports a carbon fiber body inspired by Le Mans, a slightly longer wheelbase than the original 911, and a lot more power. RML updated the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine with an Inconel exhaust system, improved manifolds, stronger intercoolers, upgraded turbochargers, and a new ECU. The Turbo S’s base output is increased from 640 horsepower to 900 horsepower by the hardware, and its total torque is increased from 148 pound-feet to 738.

RML redesigned the body with a Le Mans-inspired carbon treatment with active aero and a diver-activated drag reduction system, and they also enlarged the front and rear track by 3.9 inches in addition to the 0.98-inch larger wheelbase. The car can produce 2,035 pounds of downforce at 177 mph and 1,460 pounds at 150 mph in Track Mode, which is 4.5 times greater than the Turbo S. A Tour Mode softens the damping and increases the ride height of the vehicle.
New sports seats with four-point safety harnesses for both front passengers were added to the car’s interior by RML. Additionally, the shop took off the back seats and installed a partial roll cage in their place.
The price of the donor Turbo S is not included in the £495,000 ($643,722 at today’s currency rate) cost of the P39 modification. However, RML can help you find one. Only ten will be produced by the firm, and they will come in a unique Ruby Red color choice exclusive to 40SE.
