It is time to put your detective hat on.

Today, I'm going over a mystery involving the Honda Ridgeline and its unexpected drop in sales.

Some evidence suggests that the Ridgeline may have had a covert stop sale.

First and foremost, thanks to Pickup Truck +SUV Talk for bringing this to our attention

According to recent sales data, the Honda Ridgeline had a significant sales fall, which does not make sense.

The Ridgeline sold 27,430 trucks in the first half of 2023

However, in the first half of 2024, it only sold 19,922 trucks, representing a 28.3% decrease.

One may speculate that the Ridgeline is struggling owing to inflation, production delays

However, many supply chains are finally back on track following the disruption caused by COVID-19.

Also, the storyline thickens. In May, Honda issued a recall for 187,290 Ridgeline vehicles from 2020 to 2024

but just approximately 3% of trucks were estimated to be affected.

The recall is for defective electrical wiring for the rear-view camera located in the tailgate.
