One of the most anticipated supercars of the present decade has been the Tesla Roadster. With ambitions to be manufactured in 2020, it was originally exhibited in 2017. The next-generation Tesla Roadster concept was first unveiled seven years ago, but it has been continuously postponed. We were hoping that it would arrive in 2024, but it appears that the manufacturing date has been further postponed.
There is no priority for the Tesla Roadster.
The Q3 2024 financial reports were the primary topic of discussion during a recent meeting with Tesla’s shareholders. In response to a question concerning the Tesla Roadster, Elon Musk stated that production will continue, but not right away. “The Roadster is not just the icing on the cake, it’s the cherry on top of the icing on the cake,” Elon Musk stated, explaining why it hasn’t been released yet. This indicates that the Roadster will be the finishing touch when Tesla finishes other plans that take precedence over it.
We’d all love to work on the next-gen Tesla Roadster, It is super fun, and we are working on it—but it has to come behind the things that have a more serious impact on the good of the world.
Although the aforementioned remark may be true, the portion regarding “the good of the world” seems a little strange. We recognize that a high-performance sports vehicle that is exclusively accessible to a select few is not a top concern. In contrast to other automakers, Tesla has been collecting deposits for this automobile since 2017 and has not yet produced a functional vehicle.

It’s Time for the Tesla Roadster
Seven years is a long time to retain people’s money while a car remains a concept with manufacturing promises. Mainstream automakers have established prosperous EV units for their brands at that time. Even while EV luxury vehicles, economy cars, trucks, and even multimillion-dollar hypercars are now available, the Tesla Roadster is still not in production. Even the Cybertruck, which few people thought would be produced, is now available, however it still has Tesla’s quality problems.
There is currently no estimated time of arrival (ETA) for the Tesla Roadster, therefore we have to presume that it will take a lot longer than anticipated before Tesla presents a production version and provides an estimated date of manufacturing and delivery.
